    1What is Correlacion Contemporanea?
    Correlación Contemporánea is a non-profit arts self-management space that aims to analyze and contribute to the current system of production, dissemination and research of contemporary art in Peru. Since 2016, Correlación Contemporánea fosters exchanges between national and international art students, young and senior artists, with the aim of creating a horizontal space for dialogue to stimulate artistic creation and action in the Peruvian socio-cultural context.

    Our work is focused on developing art residency programs in the jungle and highlands or andean traditional communities of Peru, educational and research programs for art students, and exhibitions management for virtual or face to face projects.
    2What are the research axes of the residencies and programs?
    The research axes are related to the Peruvian cultural practices, criticism, analysis of contemporary art, community art and related topics. You will be able to find more details of each research axes In our Residences page (link) and Programs page (link),
    3How long do the residencies or programs last?
    Each residency or program lasts around 3 weeks (21 days). To learn more about our current calls, you can visit our Residences page (link) and Programs page (link),
    4Can artists of any nationality apply?
    Yes, national and international.
    5At the end of every program or residence, does each participant have to submit a final work?
    Not necessarily, each residency or program has its production guidelines. Sometimes, the programs are focused on research or pre-production.
    6In which place(s) are the residencies or programs held?

    7Who can apply to the calls? / Are the art residencies focused on working with visual artists?
    Regardless of their discipline, we are interested in working with participants who desire to contribute or generate knowledge and research from their field in different areas. You can participate as an artist, managers, researchers, cultural workers or related.
    8Is the application / participation fee established or does it vary according to residence?
    There is no application fee. Some programs require an amount per participation. This amount may vary depending on the residence demands due the place where it is located. Correlacion Contemporanea is a non-profit cultural association and the amounts collected are used to improve the conditions of the programs, residencies or villages.
    9How are payments made?
    Payments are made by western union money transfer, money gram or bank transfer (bank transfer could charge additional fees).
    10Who cannot participate in the calls? / Is there any impediment to participate in the calls?
    If you think you could have any impediment to participate in any of our programs, please contact us by email: ([email protected]). Our team will contact you as soon as possible to answer any questions you may have about our calls.
    11How often are new open calls made?
    Most of the open calls are on going, unless the program is on Pause. In case you are interested in participating in one and it is on Pause, please contact us by email: [email protected]. We will provide you all the necessary information.
